Abstract
561 subjects aged 6-12 were subjected to a photoplantogrammetric examination. Pes cavus was found in 199 (30.6), flatfoot in 41 (6.3). Pes cavus was more often among females (37.7 against 22.6), flatfoot among males (9.7 against 3.2). The practical interest of these findings for preventive purposes is emphasised and the hope is expressed that the feet of all young people are examined before they are granted sports fitness certificates. In terms of study techniques photoplantogrammetry is thought preferable to mass surveys. Verf.-Referat
