Abstract
Tests on Baycast, a new material used in orthopaedic and traumatological immobilisation devices are reported. Its clinical and physical characteristics and the results obtained are described together with some of its more significant advantages such as ligthness, durability and radiotransparency, which make it a valid alternative to traditional plaster casts, especially for sportsmen.
