Abstract
Urinary 17-OHCS values were determined before, during and after a 10-day administration of Dutimelan 8 15 in 8 young footballers. This corticosteroid product requires the adoption of a special posological protocol. The results showed that it did not inhibit adrenal cortex activity. The periodicity of hormonal secretion was unchanged, indicating that the biorhythm of the stimulus acting on the gland was unaffected. It is felt that Dutimelan 8 15 particularly indicated in cases where cortisone management is required for athletes, owing to its non-inhibition of the activity of the diencephalichypophyseal-adrenal axis.
