Zusammenfassung

The elements of rhythmics and rhythmic gymnastics, taking the variety of movements into account, also make work with male population of younger pupils possible, by giving huge possibilities in terms of versatile motor development. The research was conducted with the aim to determine the status of basic and specific motor abilities in 50 nine-year-old (+/- 6 months) boys, third-grade students of elementary school in Nis. The experimental treatment lasted for 12 weeks and it consisted of elements of rhythmic gymnastics. Before the begining and after the end of the experimental treatment, the initial and final measurement were conducted, and they consisted of 25 motor tests. The gained results were processed by the method of canonical discriminative analysis and they are shown in tables and descriptively. By the usage of canonical discriminative analysis and by the insight in coefficients which determine the first discriminative function, it can be concluded that it separates boys according to the tests which evaluate flexibility, precision, explosiveness, speed, coordination, segment speed and balance. After three months of experimental treatment, it can be concluded that boys have generallybetter results in the level of basic motor abilities, which can be explained from the physiological point of view: the structure of the muscle fibres. The results of basic and situational-motor abilities in boys can be seen in tests of realization of rhythmic structures and coordination, and partially in tests of movement frequency speed, flexibility, repetitive and explosive strength. Such gained results show that rhythmic gymnastics can have a positive influence on motor development in boys.
