Mild traumatic brain injury and concussion are a growing source of concern in today’s sports environment. There is increased emphasis on diagnosing and managing concussions at all levels of athletic endeavor. The reasons for this are multifactorial and include advances in medical science and technology, as well as interest generated by high-profile cases and lawsuits in professional football.
