Abstract
The author examines the increasing impact of contracting and regulation in the world of professional sport, and how this affects economic relations between athletes, club owners, and other stakeholders. He discusses the role of law economics and codetermination in professional sport and also adresses methodological problems and challenges associated with the law economic analysis of professional sport.
