Abstract des Autors
The paper lists two cases of the researches on contemporary cities and criticizes their one-sided comprehension of city and its space construction process. Secondly, by reviewing the classic theories of city, the paper summarizes the correlations between body, space and city. Finally, it discusses the theories on con-temporary cities and elaborates on the practice relationship between body and city from the aspect of the organizational style of space. In general, the paper discusses the key concepts of body, space and city in the Western social theories and stresses that the understanding of"body" helps us to better understand city and its internal logic.
