Abstract des Autors

Abstract des Autors

The aim of the study was to find out specific anthropometric parameters of female figure skaters aged 10-11 year in the Czech Republic and to assess somatotypes. Subsequently differences between measured figure skaters anthropometric parameters of particular competitive level were being examined. Anthropometric parameters were measured according to international standards for anthropometric measurements. Somatotypes were established by the Heath-Carter method in year 1990. The standards index was specified to compare with the general population. Differences between particular competitive levels were evaluated via statistical significance and effect size. A significant competitive level differentiation was only determined at endomorphic component of 10-year old female figure skaters. All of the monitored anthropometric parameters of female figure skaters have negative values of standards index but the most of them don't stand out of interval of mean (N1 = ± 0,75). Nevertheless, female figure skaters are taller and heavier than Czechoslovak figure skaters in the research of Šelingerová (1988) in comparison with the previous research current figure skaters are more endomorphic. Prevailing somatotype is mesomorphic endomorph.
