Abstract des Autors
This chapter will review and discuss the above research publications on social integration and sport. To understand precisely which topics are addressed in German research and why, which theoretical concepts and terms are used, and which methods are applied, the chapter first outlines the central starting points for the scientific discussions on 'sport and integration' conducted in Germany. We then go on to describe the conceptual and theoretical points of reference in research on integration and sport in Germany and present empirical studies at both the micro-level and meso-level. In a final conclusion, this review then summarizes the key results and research needed in the future.
