Abstract des Autors

The purpose of this review is to present the coaching process, or more specifically the aspect of it related to the instructional behaviours of its practitioners, as one which involves to a considerable degree a rational approach, and could consequently be subject to a systematic analysis and evaluation. Thus, following a recognition through a brief discussion of the coaching process as a whole, as one incorporating many differing and variable factors, each of which contributes to the successful completion of stated coaching objectives, a review of the literature pertaining specifically to effective instructional behaviours as defined in existing research is undertaken.
