Abstract des Autors

The object of investigation – rowers competitive activities. The purpose of research was to identify performance characteristics of the rowers–participants of World Rowing Championship of 2009 and 2010. Objectives were as follows: 1. To identify usually applied tactical variants and the rowers’ speed change characteristics at the 2009 World Championship. 2. To identify usually applied tactical variants and the rowers’ speed change characteristic at the 2010 World Championship. 3. To compare competitional activities of the rowers–participants of World Rowing Championship of 2009 and 2010. Research methods: literature analysis, analysis of competition protocols and statistical analysis. It was established that in preparatory heats, repechage heats, final heats and coxed eight boats 2009 World Championship crews more frequently applied 1–3 tactical variant, while the semifinal and smaller boat classes crews often apply 1–3 and 1–4 tactical variants (p < 0.05). Prize-winning and 4–6 places in the World Rowing Championship for crew to apply extensive tactical variants did not differ (p > 0.05). It was established in 2009 World Rowing Championships 1–3 places crew who won the first range section overcomes the relatively slower compared to their average distance speed, and time variations between the first and the second 1000 meters to overcome is smaller, compared with crews who won 4–6 places. Semifinal heats, final heats and larger boats classes was inherent lower speed fluctuations in distance. Preparatory heats, repechage heats, final heats and coxed eight boats 2009 World Championship crews more frequently applied the 1–3 tactical variant, while the semifinal and smaller boat classes crews often apply 1–3 and 1–4 tactical variants (p < 0.05). The 2010 World Rowing Championship men and women crews in preparatory heats, repechage heats and semifinal heats more often applied 1–4 tactical variant, and the final heats 1–3 tactical variant (p > 0.05). Eight men and women more often applied 1– tactical variant, and single sculls, double sculls and four sculls crews more often applied 1–4 tactical variant (p > 0.05). Men and women crews to apply tactical variant by won places in the final (A) did not differ (p>0.05). It was found in 2010 World Rowing championship crews who won 1-3 places the first range section overcomes relatively slower comparing to their average distance speed, and the time variations between the first and the second 1000 meters to overcome is smaller, compared with crews who won 4–6 places. Semifinal heats, final heats and larger boats classes was inherent lower speed fluctuations in distance. 2009 World championship rowers usually applied 1–3 tactical variant, in 2010 – 1–4 tactical variant, in 2009 World Championship medalist usually applied 1–3 tactical variant, and in 2010 – 4–2 tactical variant (p > 0.05). Single sculls, double sculls and four sculls boats classes of the time difference between the first and the second 1000 meters was higher in 2010; and the eight-boat class was higher in 2009 World Championship. 2010 World Championship Final A participants distance broke evenly than in 2009 A finals participants, and in the fourth distance divide exceeded its mid-range speed.
