Abstract
This chapter concentrates on the origin of the means necessary to finance the Olympic Games. Starting from the restrictions stated in the Olympic Charter, which affects the financing of Olympic Games, the financing of the Games from Munich 1972 to Beijing 2008 will be presented. Then it becomes obvious which financing model was used for the respective Games. Finally, the interests in the Games will show who are the winners and losers of Olympic Games. Aus dem Text
