Abstract des Autors

The article originated as a mention of 100th anniversary, when was established the university sport, scilicet this year 2010. Its bases was laied in 1910, when was on 1th April, after dead Antonin Kristof, appointed as: “a teacher of sport games at the Czech university in Prague”. Dr. František Smotlacha, who became for many years a leading personality in Czech university physical education. Especially on the basis his three books from 1921, 1925 and 1934 are put near the beginnings of unorganized sport movement at the universities to 1907, which took place especially in Sokol movement and also in sport clubs as S. K. Slavia and S. K. Smíchov further beginnings organized university sport in Charles university 1908-1910. The main part recitation of important historical facts is focused from 1910-1914, when was promising and quickly evolving flowering of university sport at czech universities slowed down by world war I.
