The effectivity of dance skills had been evaluated by absolete methods. There was a lack of new improve tests that would cover the whole structure of dance skills. In order to modernize and improve dance education the new test battery diagnosing dance motor skills was created. It is based on innovation of traditional tests and addition of new tests. It was verified on a group of 95 high school girls that were in between 15 and 19 years old. With regards to the way of testing, it seems to be very accurate from reliability point of view. Coefficients of reliability that were determined by the method of stability range between 0.83 and 0.97. Lowest point of generic reliability is α = 0.9. The validity of the test battery is high (the factor validity ranges in between 0.87 and 0.98). This provides an opportunity to verify the effects of new dance programs that encourage adolescent girls to live an active life style and modernize physical education. Verf.-Referat
