In order to identify the substance of a complex of motor abilities not only the information on specific elements is important but also on mutual relations between them and their structure. We have tried to define a factor structure of motor and physical indicators in preschool children by motor performance diagnosing. Test battery consisted of items that are probably determining indicators of condition and coordination abilities. Although the investigation of the statistical significance in motor performance between the group of girls and boys proves their considerable identity, the latent variables indicate different internal structure in the group of girls and boys only with the application of multidimensional methods. Physical factors in both examined groups share with approximately 20% on whole variance. It indicates an important impact of physical growth on motor performance at the age. There is observed increased number of factors in a group of boys. It is probable that motor performance of boys in preschool age is better-marked. The main motor factors in boys and girls determining the performance is “strength-coordination factor”, and “speed-coordination factor” respectively. Verf.-Referat
