Abstract des Autors

The author refers to results of Ronald Evans researches concerning the influence
of GW1516 and AICAR compounds, termed exercise pills, on physical endurance
of experimental animals. It was shown that both preparations modulate multidirection-
ally the energetic metabolism and change the muscle phenotype, what leads to in-creasing the running velocity and lengthening the covered distance, as compared with the control group.Being afraid of athletes’ interest in exercise pills, facing the lack of researches concerning the impact of these preparations on human body subject to high physical load, WADA introduced GW1516 and AICAR into the list of substances and methods forbidden in sport, in the item termed “genetic doping”.
