Abstract des Autors
In July, 2010 in Poznań, Poland took place the Xth European University Basketball Championship. For the first time in the history of these championships, a Bulgarian team participated – the team of the University of National and World Economy. The championship was organized by the European University Sports Association and the Polish student organization, based in Poznań. 15 male and 12 female university teams participated in the event and Bulgaria was represented by the Men's Basketball team of the University of National and World Economy as the Champion at the time. Even though the team was not one of the best ranked, the participation was very prestigious for University and the experience of the participants - unforgettable. The goal of our study is to demonstrate the conditions for participation and the system of the European university championships as well as to analyze the first Bulgarian participation. Verf.-Referat
