Abstract

Das Niveau der Laufdisziplinen innerhalb der weltweiten Leichtathletik steigt stetig an. Neben Kenia und Äthiopien als führenden Nationen erweitert sich die Zahl der Nationen und Athleten, die das Leistungsniveau Weltklasse Lauf erreichen. Und wo bleibt Europa bzw. Deutschland? Dieser Frage geht Verf. in Betrachtung der Junioren-WM und der EM 2010 nach, wobei Junioren-Perspektiven und aktuelles Leistungsbild im Männer- und Frauenbereich mit Schwerpunkt Europa und DLV im Vordergrund stehen. Abstract

There is a continuous increase of the level of running performances in international athletics. Apart from Kenya and Ethiopia, which are the leading nations, there is an increase in the number of other nations and athletes achieving world-class performances in running. And where is Europe or Germany? This question is dealt with by the author using the examples of the Junior World Championships and the European Championships in 2010. The focus of the article is on the prospects of junior athletes and the current performances of the men and women mainly in Europe and the German Athletics Federation. Verf.-Referat
