Abstract

Democratic management of cultural diversity has become a priority for the Council of Europe member states. Sport is no exception to this concern. Faced with the diversity of both participants and spectators, sport becomes a vehicle for intercultural dialogue through its educational and socialising role. This work lays out exchanges of experience in intercultural dialogue through sport. It helps put into perspective the concepts of "intercultural dialogue" and "integration" as applied to sport and evoked in social and political debates in Europe. The Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) contributes to the development of European research on education through sport involving researchers from different countries. Abstract

La gestion démocratique de la diversité culturelle est devenue une priorité pour les Etats membres du Conseil de l’Europe. Le sport n'échappe pas à cette préoccupation. Confronté à la diversité de ses acteurs et de ses spectateurs, c'est un vecteur du dialogue interculturel, par son rôle éducatif et de socialisation. Cet ouvrage présente des échanges d'expériences de pratique du dialogue interculturel par le sport. Il permet de relativiser les concepts du «dialogue interculturel» et de «l'intégration» appliqués au sport évoqués dans le débat social et politique en Europe. L'Accord partiel élargi sur le sport (APES) contribue au développement des recherches européennes sur l’éducation par le sport, en y impliquant des chercheurs de différents pays.
