Abstract

Abstract

The continuous further performance development in all endurance events is proved by many international and national records as well as new personal records during the Olympic cycle 2004-2008 and during the 2008 Olympic Games. The even better control and mastering of training methodological factors, the design of new and the modification of already known sport technical solutions, innovations in the fields of sport apparatuses, materials and equipment as well as a high degree of professionalism under the conditions of successful national and international measures to fight doping abuse can be considered the major influential factors that drive this development. We gained positive experience in the process of performance development when complex effects of competition analyses, training analyses and performance diagnostics were combined to draw conclusions for training control. In a next step these conclusions were implemented into the training process and the individual training effects were analysed. Verf.-Referat
