Abstract

Shooting experts suggest that shooting result depends on technical fitness. It is recommended for shooting experts (shooters, coaches) and for the sport scientists to use special software for improving and evaluating technical fitness. The peculiarities of technical training and fitness are described as postural stability, aiming, triggering, breathing and pulse rate. A good shot performance depends on a clear synergy of all indices. The aim of the research was to carry out individual interaction of technical indices with shooter’s sport performance. Technical fitness was tested with Rika Home Trainer software. There were made 16 tests with 43 series and 428 shots during the period since November the 10th in 2005 to November the 7th in 2008. Depending on the aims of training sessions, the fall information was registered on 10 tests with 30 series and 328 shots. The participant with experience of international competitions (the 7th place winner of European shooting championship in 2007 in youth age group) was elite rifle shooter born in 1989. Interaction of indices of shooter’s sport performance was evaluated with SPSS 12.0 software. The factor analysis of series identified two main components of shooter’s technical fitness. The analysis resulted in total of 78.81% classification success rate. The aiming accuracy consisted of the variables dealing with accurate aiming (44.41%), the spread of shots – 34.40%. The factor analysis of shots identified two main components of shooter’s technical fitness, too. The analysis resulted in total of 61.92% classification success rate. The aiming accuracy consisted of the variables dealing with accurate aiming (37.94%), the time of shot – 23.97%. The interaction of efficiency of shooting series with technical fitness confirmed that the elite shooters could limit the oscillations of their air rifle to the area of the ten targeting rings and enable to score 395 points respectively. Moreover, the interaction of one shot possibly with every indice of the technical training, especially depends on time of shot, the time before the moment of shot when the movements are minimal. The individual interaction of technical indices and sport performance in shooting carried out in our research confirmed the opinion of experts that the degree of aiming may not serve as key indicator of sport performance as aiming time to the eight ring of the target as well.
