Abstract
Goal of research was to analyze European tendencies of sports science in the context of modern philosophy of science. Research methods: Meta-analysis of European sports science based on the presentation material of the 10th annual Congress of the European College of Sports Science (ECSS, 2005) and the analysis of modern scientific method in the philosophy of science. Research results and conclusions: The review of results and their analysis allow for a better understanding of both the conceptual base of sports science and the advantages and disadvantages of the paradigm. Social research (in sports science) is admitted to be inevitably searching for a new scientific method or needs to follow triangulation principle. Verf.-Referat
