In der vorliegenden Arbeit erfolgt eine Bestandsaufnahme über Anwendung von und Bedarf an sportpsychologischer Diagnostik der in der Praxis des deutschen Spitzensports arbeitenden Sportpsychologen. Die Stichprobe rekrutierte sich aus den in der BISp-Sportpsychologie-Expertendatenbank (www.bisp-sportpsychologie.de) gelisteten Personen. Die Datenerhebung erfolgte mittels computergestützter Telefoninterviews. Durchschnittlich arbeiten die Sportpsychologen mit 20 Sportlern und 6 Trainern. Fast 88 % der Sportpsychologen setzen in ihrer Arbeit mit Athleten Diagnostik ein. Alle Sportpsychologen, die Diagnostik durchführen, greifen auf die Explorationstechnik zurück. Zusätzlich werden standardisierte allgemeinpsychologische (75.0 %), standardisierte sportspezifische (87.5 %) und selbst entwickelte (71.9 %) Testverfahren verwendet. Psychological assessment is a central component of applied sport psychology. In the present study, a survey concerning the status and use of diagnostic instruments by German sport psychologists was conducted. The sample consisted of sport psychologists listed on the sport psychology website of the Federal Institute of Sport Science (www.bisp-sportpsychologie.de). In particular, the use of the most frequently used standardized sport unspecific psychological tests, standardized sport-specific tests, and the demand for new diagnostic tools was investigated via telephone interviews. The results showed that on average, sport psychologists work with 20 athletes and six coaches per year. 88 % of the sport psychologists rely on diagnostic techniques, including exploration. 75 % of the experts use sport-unspecific psychological testing methods, 87.5 % employ sport specific psychological testing measures, and 71.9 % of the experts rely on self developed nonstandardized sport psychological test batteries. In general, the survey indicated a considerable demand for developing empirically valid and reliable sport-specific psychological testing methods for diagnosis. author's abstract
