Abstract

An exact designation of the jumping ability level is important for the evaluation of the motor abilities of a competitor. Considering that many factors influence the result of the jumping ability measurement, simple and objective methods of its evaluation have a vital role. Different methods measurement have been used so far. In English-language literature no publications comparing the jumping ability results obtained via different methods have been found. Thus, the research focused on comparing results of the jumping ability measurements obtained via Starosta's test and on a tensometric platform by Kistler and searching for the relation between the measurement results obtained by the use of Starosta's test and the Fitro-Jumper method.
