Abstract

Monitoring the so called general motoric performance, which is most frequently performed with young common population, is also valuable with the athletes who are trained for high specific results. Thus we can show good or bad features, if any, in comparison with other athletes and also not trained population. In the Czech Republic in Brno region we have tested several sports groups and measured their somatic parameters. They were athletes of high level in following sports: Men: volleyball players (n=12), swimmers (n=15), gymnasts (n=7), downhill skiers (n=8); Women: track athletes (Sprints and jumps, n=8), swimmers (n=7), downhill skiers (n=6). We would like to show some differences between groups and particular features. (Introduction)
