Abstract
International Olympic Committee formaly approved the use of formoterol, a beta2-agonist drug, for the therapy of the asthmatic athletes. In this paper it is described the peculiarity of this drug, such a fast and lasting brochodilatation. Because of its quality, formoterol is very useful for the treatment of the reversible brocho-obstruction and for the prevention of the exercise-induced bronchospasm in athIetes with asthma. In non asthmatic, the drug does not have any ergogenic effects. Verf.-Referat
