Abstract
The main disorders in the individual´s health during physical activity in very low temperatures are described. These refer to disorders caused by hypothermia (a drop in core temperature of less than 35°C) and the appearance of frostbite. The most severe disorders of hypothermia concern the cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary and other systems. In exceptionally severe cases (a drop of less than 33°C) immediate hospitalization is required. The accurate application of preventative measures limits hazards substantially. Verf.-Referat
