Abstract

A rural environment, investigated in the Poznan region, is internally verified in terms of social-economic-cultural factors as well as somatics and motor development effects. The fact that there are differences in somatic and motor development levels in children from various rural areas proves the complexity of inter-trait links. lt is also a starting point for the search of reasons for the differentiation in the widely understood physical fitness. On the basis of the previous studies we selected three places where 7 - 10 year old boys showed the greatest differentiation in a level of the somatic and motor development in a level of the somatic and motor development. The aim of the study was to find a direction of potential changes in the somatic development and selected elements of the motor development as compared in the years 1986 - 1996. Verf.-Referat
