Abstract des Autors
Indian children are less developed in physical and physiological components compared to children from various developed countries. This is also true of Indian children selected for high level performance. This may be due to lower socioeconomic status, poor nutritional habits and genetic reasons. Whilst training enhances the development of aerobic and anacrobic capacity, age-specific training programs need to be developed to maximize the gain during the growth and development of children.
