Verf. beschreibt die funktionelle Anatomie der Wirbelsaeule sowie die Biomechanik, Aetiologie, Diagnose und Therapie von Verletzungen der Wirbelsaeule im und durch Sport. Verletzungen der Hals-, Brust- und Lendenwirbelsaeule sowie operative Verfahren werden in gesonderten Abschnitten behandelt. Verf. betont, dass Wirbelsaeulenverletzungen frueh erkannt und behandelt werden muessen, um spaetere, groessere Schaeden zu vermeiden. Treten Verletzungen wiederholt auf, dann muessen sie umfassender untersucht werden, wobei die sportliche Technik, die Kraft und pathologische Probleme zu beruecksichtigen sind. -schi- |
