Abstract
The article emphasizes the use of echocardiographical diagnosis in the valuation of sport fitness. In our Sport Medicine Center out of 4779 athletes requesting sport fitness certification, 203 underwent echocardiographical examination. Eleven athletes of this group were found to be unfit on the basis of echocardiographical findings. The Authors underline the importance of the availability of this technical equipment for every Sport Medicine Center. Verf.-Referat
