Abstract des Autors
It is well known that a single physical exercise increases daily energy consumption much more than the direct cost of a stimulating action on the resting metabolism and postprandial thermogenesis. The effect of systematic training on the energy balance is less clear given that some factors, above all the relative hyponutrition of athletes, appear to indicate greater metabolic efficiency. A review of the specialized literature together with the author's personal experience suggest that there is an inverse ratio (between the level of fitness and daily energy consumption (net of the absolute cost of exercise), thus recognizing that a well-trained athlete has the possibility of living and acting with a greater saving of energy.
