Abstract

Here are the most immediate and most visible results of the First Paralympic Congress Barcelona'92. These are the studies presented at this important meeting; they may be considered, among other things, a test of the most current opinions on very diverse aspects of this material that are held by professionals in the field of Sports for Handicapped Persons. This Congress, which was associated with the IX Paralympic Games, brought together more than 700 participants from 86 countries, all of them technicians, organizers and persons with positions of responsibility in the various sports practiced by the disabled persons who form a part of the International Federations: I.S.O.D. - (International Sports Organization for the Disabled); (ISMWSF - (International Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Sports Federation); I.B.S.A. - (International Blind Sports Association); CP-ISRA - (Cerebral Palsy - International Sports and Recreation Association). aus der Einleitung
