Abstract des Autors
An epidemiological study carried on in 15 volleyball teams of the Venetian region during the 1994/1995 season is presented. 220 volleyball players of the lower divisions, 110 males and 110 females, were interviewed. One hundred forty-three injuries were registered during one year. Fifty-two percent (52%) of this injuries involved female volleyball players. Therefore the femal sex had higher injury rate and a different kind of injuries than men. Due to the high incidence of traumas (65%) it is necessary to pay attention to prevention and to require more interest of clubs for the injured athlete. Verf.-Referat
