Abstract des Autors
We report the case of a 21 year old French grunt presenting with an isolated acute right peroneal compartment syndrome twenty hours after unusual prolonged hike. On admission, pain and tense were localized to the peroneal muscles; while tibial, extensor digitorum and gastrocnemius muscles were normal. Hypesthesia was present in the distal lateral side of the leg and in the second and third interdigital cleft. Diagnosis was confirmed by measuring intracompartmental pressure, showing a very high tissue pressure exceeding 140 mm Hg. A peroneal subcutaneous fasciotomie was followed by the complete recovery of the neuromuscular defect. Verf.-Referat
