Abstract

This text - the product of more than 10 years of instruction and research - is the comprehensive study on the past, present and future of women and sport and sheds light on the women's sport experience. Three major subdisciplinary areas in sport and exercise science will be examined: historical and cultural foundations, biomedical considerations, and psychological and social dimensions.
