Abstract
This study examines, in an interactional perspective, the relation between the practice of water polo and the personality of persons who devote themselves to water polo. Furthermore, the investigation is interested in the influence of expert level and game post on that relation. Sixty four water polo players, playing in National 1, 1B, 2A, answered the Sport Personality Questionnaire from E. THILL. The significant differences noticed between the water polo players and the other sportsmen, by expert level and game post, underline a connection between the personality of water polo players and their practice. This type of investigation allows a first approach of psychological's constraints, which can come to a more complete analysis to put strategies of psychological preparation in place. Verf.-Referat
