The studies carried as yet of the morphological-functional specificity of the infantile organism were done most frequently at rest, only rarely other approaches were applied for the assessment of the state of the organism in children with diseases. Only few authors tried to elucidate the problems of the reactions of the ill child to exercise challenge. The mode of response of the organism of the ill child has, besides many other factors, a direct influence on the success of rehabilitation treatment. The methods are described of the study of the reactions to effort in children. A survey of the tests used for effort tolerance is presented. A modern method is described used in the functional diagnosis of the rehabilitation process, based on a special mode of stress dosing. The method makes possible programming of increasing workloads which can precisely demonstrate the participation of the organism in the exercise at any level without concern about disease exacerbation or relapse.
