Abstract des Autors

The aim of this study was to investigate whether exercise induced myocardial ischemia is a trigger for severe ventricular arrhythmias. We compared postinfarction patients with angiographically documented CHD, 18 with silent ischemia, and 20 with typical angina pectoris. The relationship between ischemia and ventricular extrasystoles was documented by continuous ECG monitoring. All patients showed significant ST changes during bicycle ergometry. Following exercise tests were performed: bicycle ergometry, treadmill test, swimming and gymnastic programs, Holter-ECG with a detailed exercise program. There was no close relationship between myocardial ischemia and the occurrence of complex ventricular arryhthmias. In patients with silent ischemia complex ventricular arrhythmias did not occur at a higher rate than in patients with angina pectoris. Verf.-Referat
