Abstract des Autors
For functional treatment of lateral ligament injuries, different bracing concepts are currently offered. The aim of this study was to investigate the functionality of the braces and their acceptance by patients with lateral ligament lesions. The testing device included video gait analysis on a treadmill and on a circle with a diameter of 2.13 m, analysis on a force platform, and subjective scoring. The results show a sufficient stabilizing reflex system even without bracing. Therefore, the braces seem to have not only a mechanical stabilizing but also a "memory function". Verf.-Referat
