The results, via computer, with regards to a pharmacologic treatment with ketorolac-trometamina (Tora-Dol - Recordati) of 100 athletes affected by acute injuries, and by functional overload practising sport confirm the interesting effectiveness against pain of the drug, and overall a great reduction of the duration of the functional revival. A polycentric study arrived to these issues (Institutes of Sports Medicine of Bolongna-Bolzano-Milano-Napoli-Torino) concerning 100 athletes occured by acute injuries or affected by chronic pathologies and by overload in consequence of sports practice. All subjects were analyzed by medical visits in different phases of the disease and instrumentally evaluated about lesions in different times through isokinetic tests. The acute pathologies have been treated through parenteral way with 60 mg of Tora-Dol (two tubes daily in the beginning, followed by one tube a day). Chronic diseases have been treated with 30 mg daily, in refracted doses. The evaluation of effectiveness and tolerability of the drug through classical technics (VAS-VRS) has been supplemented by the isokinetic evaluations of the injuries size of the musculotendineous lesions taking into consideration the strength variations of the interested muscular part, compared with the healthy one. The acute traumatic pathologies concerning the tibiotarsal, the knee and the shoulder, and the pathologies by functional overload appropriate of determinate sport activities, seems to be the primary indications for the pharmacological treatment with the drug in object.
