Abstract des Autors
Although immunological analysis methods, especially flow cytometry (FCM), have achieved importance within the range of diagnostic procedures in many medical fields, in sports medicine the applications are rare. This article provides an overview of historical aspects, methodological principles, current use in sports medicine and potential applications of FCM with respect to actual protocols in other biomedical fields. The article aims to increase the general understanding of results from FCM and provides a guide for potential use of FCM for relevant topics in sports medical research. Verf.-Referat
