Abstract des Autors
A thirteen-year-old girl was treated for an avulsion fracture of the tuber ischii after doing splits. A substantial dislocation of the fracture made an operation necessary. Recovery took place without complications and function was fully restored. This type of fracture is often seen in athletes at the age of 12 to 25 years. During this period of life the secondary ossification of the tuber ischii takes place. In literature, surgical treatment tends to be recommended in case of dislocated fracture, because it leads to the best functional results. Verf.-Referat
