Because of children's craze for sport practise and increasing of training, ankle's sprain are actually frequently discovered in children and teenagers. The causes for medical advices are first: pain, oedema and swelling of the perimalleolar area. Later, ankle instability, alog-neurodystrophia and reduced articular range can worry the parents. Clinical examination is used for precising the diagnosis and avoiding associated pathology: calcaneo varus, elastorrhexis, fibular dislocation, tarsus synostosis. Standard X-rays are used for excluding a fracture; dynamic X-rays for appreciating a radiological instability. Arthroscanner is useful to explorate aftermath. Treatment consists in immobilising with a cast followed by reeducation. Surgical indication is very rare. Verf.-Referat
