Abstract des Autors
Athletic trainers may be involved in ethical dilemmas that they have not been formally trained to deal with. As sports and athletics involve more participants, and as athletic trainers work in varying settings, ethical dilemmas arise. In this paper, different ethical problem solving approaches are outlined. A hypothetical case involving an ethical question is presented, followed by an explanation of problem solving approaches and an examination of each possible decision. Athletic trainers are encouraged to develop an ethical problem solving approach that they can implement to evaluate an ethical dilemma if or when one arises. Verf.-Referat
