Abstract des Autors
Following latest experimental investigations, traumatic origin of osteochondrosis dissecans tali comes well to the fore. Incase of severe pain, operative treatment is recommended as there are removal of splitted cartilage, focus drilling, subchondral cancellous bone plasty or fixation of dissecate by screw or fibrin glew. From 1971 to 1986, there were altogether 62 operative procedures in the orthopedic department of the Homburg/Saar University Hospital in case of osteochondrosis dissecans tali; chiefly, a focus drilling acc. to Beck was performed. By means of a questionnaire as well as clinical check-ups of 43 patients (average postoperative follow-up time: 4.3 years) we present middle-term results (differentiation of various operative procedures). 49 patients (92.4%) were satisfied by operative treatment; there was a reoperation only in two patients. In case of longer lasting pain after distorsion of the ancle joint you should search after osteochondrosis dissecans tali. Verf.-Referat
