Abstract des Autors

The influence of a 12 week training program on the physical capacity of 12 hemodialysis patients was investigated. Before and after training the patients received a bicycle ergometer test and a motor test battery. The results are: Significant improvements in the motor tests battery after training concerning the dynamic power and the coordination (p < 0.05) were found. The bicycle ergometer test showed after training a slight increase of performance by about 3-8 Watt (p > 0.05), also a reduced systolic blood pressure, however, a slight increase of the stroke frequency at rest and during exercise (p > 0.05). The changings in stroke frequency and blood pressure can be explained by a reduced intravasal blood volume after training, but an effect of training consisting in reducing blood pressure will not be excluded.
