After 1 year the aerobic turnover and cardiac loading borderline were 10% higher than initially. In the following years spiroergometric bicycle tests showed that parameters had stabilised on a higher level. We found no change in the initially more demanding treadmill tests. This may be due to an age-linked decreasing muscular performance and/or a progression of the patient's coronary disease. A change in cardiac volume was not recorded.
