Author's abstract

The double ergometric exercise is introduced as a modified method of stress testing on bicycle. It has proved its worth in differentiation between stress dependent atypical complaints and coronary artery disease, in detecting "silent ischemia" and distinguishing among a lot of ECG - abnormalities. Several times it has enabled us to indicate invasive diagnostics with consequence of aorto-coronary bypass operation. The double ergometric exercise is based on a repeated exercise test shortly after usual ergometry and a supine recreation period. Verf.-Referat
