Author's abstract

There is a remarkable difference not only in blood lactate behaviour but also in spirometric data during ergometric tests under fatigue conditions (more or less depleted glycogen stores) compared with tests under regenerative conditions. With increasing work load the ventilatory volume reaches the state of respiratory compensation at an earlier moment (with lower rate of O2 uptake and CO2 out-put). This fact has to be considered when interpreting the spiroergometric data in order to regulate the training by means of submaximal spiroergometric parameters. Verf.-Referat
